NEW INTERVIEW: ALL ACCESS - THEODORE SHAPIRO
date: September 11th, 2016

NEW PROJECT: COLLATERAL BEAUTY
date: September 7th, 2016

NEW PROJECT: OFFICE CHRISTMAS PARTY
date: July 21th, 2016

New interview with Theodore Shapiro has been published earlier this week by Film Music Media. You can watch it above. The interview covers many topics including beginnings in the business, working with Ben Stiller, his approach when scoring comedy as well as specific projects and collaborations in detail. Most of the interview is devoted to his work on Ghostbusters.

From FMR:
Theodore Shapiro is reteaming with David Frankel on the upcoming drama COLLATERAL BEAUTY. The film stars Will Smith, Edward Norton, Keira Knightley, Kate Winslet, Helen Mirren, Michael Pena and Naomie Harris. The movie follows a successful New York advertising executive who experiences a deep personal tragedy and retreats from life entirely and his colleagues devise a drastic plan to force him to confront his grief in a surprising and profoundly human way. Shapiro has previously collaborated with Frankel on the features The Devil Wears Prada, Marley & Me, The Big Year and Hope Springs.

COLLATERAL BEAUTY will be released on December 16, 2016 by Warner Bros. Pictures.

Theodore Shapiro will reunite with directors Josh Gordon and Will Speck (BLADES OF GLORY) and will score their upcoming comedy OFFICE CHRISTMAST PARTY starring Jason Bateman, Olivia Munn and Jennifer Aniston. The movie will be released by Dreamworks SKG and Paramount Pictures on December 9th. Watch the trailer above.

Here is a little quote from the composer: "I must say, after doing Ghostbusters and Zoolander 2 before that, it feels really good to be working on a couple of scores that are smaller in scale and I think I could use a little break from enormous orchestral writing. It feels really nice to be scaling down for a couple of movies."  (Full FSMO interview is available to the subscribers here.)
